"Sometimes what you need the most...you don't even know you need."

The Test Results

For starters, for every law we break there is an adjective that describes us.  Now consider these results.

  • If you confessed to breaking the 10th Commandment, that would make you a Covetess person.
  • If you confessed to breaking the 9th Commandment, that would make you a Liar.
  • If you confessed to breaking the 8th Commandment, that would make you a Thief.
  • If you confessed to breaking the 7th Commandment, that would make you an Adulterer(ess) at heart.
  • If you confessed to breaking the 6th Commandment, that would make you a Murderer at heart.
  • If you have Dishonored your parents, thereby breaking the 5th Commandment, that would make you Rebellious.
  • If you have transgressed the 4th Commandment, that would make you a Sabbath Breaker.
  • Transgression of the 3rd Commandment would make you a Blasphemer.
  • Breaking the 1st Commandment would make you and Idolater.

No this is not name calling, this is simply looking at what you have confessed to being by your own conscious.  Remember, that we have confessed to breaking all 10 as well.

So how many do you confess to breaking? 1, 2, 5, 8, 9???  Did you know that it does not matter if you have broken 1 or 9?  Notice what James 2:10 says below:

"For whosoever shall keep the whole law,
and yet offend in
one point, he is guilty of all
."

This means that even if you think your only crime was working on 1 Saturday or telling 1 lie, that makes you guilty of breaking all of the other Laws.  Think of it like this.  Imagine you are hanging off of a bridge over a 1,000 ft gorge by a chain with 10 links.  You are hanging on to the bottom link.  Does it matter which link breaks? No!  If any link breaks, the whole chain breaks.  It is the same with the Law according to James 2:10.

So consider these 2 questions:

  1. If you were to measure yourself by God's Ruler - The Law - to determine if you were in fact a Good Person, do you think you would qualify as a Good Person?  Think back to what you said was a Bad Person.  Do you fit your own description?  If you answer, 'No, I am Not a Good Person,' that is actually a good thing.  If you still you are a Good Person compared to God's Law, you might as well stop here.
  2. Next, If God were to judge you by the 10 Commandments, would He find you Guilty or Innocent of breaking them?  If you said 'Guilty,' please click below for an find out why that is really Good News.
