you don't even know you need"

The Current Needs of Acts III Global Ministries

As a general policy, Acts III does not actively solicit funding or material items from individuals or churches...we trust in the Lord to provide in His own way in His own time. We are however convicted that we need to make needs known for three reasons: (1) so that we can give praise to God and testimony to the saints when He provides, (2) to allow others the opportunity to partner with the Lord's work in Acts III, and (3) for prayer warriors to know how to pray.

CURRENT NEED AT ACTS III:

I     Items for the Orphanage & School Malawi Africa

We are hoping and praying for the Lord to provide the necessary resources to get the doors open on the orphanage by the mid to end of June 2008.  Once open, we will need the following items. They can be dropped off or drop shipped to the Rincon location:

--> Medicines for the Clinic - The orphanage will have an on site medical clinic under the same roof. We need basic supplies like bandages, aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, hydrogen peroxide, children's cold medicines, etc.

--> School Supplies - we need paper, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, coloring books, spiral notebooks, binders, pencil sharpeners, etc.

--> Stackable Plastic Chairs - the orphanage will double as a school so we need roughly 120 chairs for the children and all of the staff and for the different rooms.

II      Items for Local Ministry

Our thrift stores are the heart of our local and foreign missions. Their operation depends directly upon the donation of useable household and businesses items by people in our community. Our three stores are always in need of clothing, furniture, electronics, furniture, books, toys, knick-knacks, dishes, pots and pans, shoes, accessories, housewares, curtains & drapes, etc.

III      Monetary Needs

We have only one pressing needs for donations. It is for:  The completion of phase 1 of the orphanage. The total remaining to complete it now is around $157,000.  This amount includes the needed water tower, well, furniture, doors and windows, etc. However, $85,000 is needed to at least get it liveable.  Anyone feeling led to give may make donations in either store or can send a check to our primary address on the contact page.  Credit card donations may also be made in the stores or online through Paypal.

IV      Prayer Concerns

The Prayers of God's people will make all of the above work out. We desperately needs prayer warriors that will devote themselves to praying about the issues above, below and whatever else the Lord places on their heart:

  • Our local church in Effingham is going very well and meeting on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM in the Rincon Thrift Store. Please pray for our wisdom in leading God's children.

  • Pray for the families of our short term missionaries that will be taking turns in Malawi to get the orphanage project back on track.

  • Pray for our 6 pastors in Malawi and the difficulties and threats they and their families face each and every day.

  • Pray for our sister Maribeth as she and her team gets prepared to go to Malawi to set up the school. Maribeth is also committed to living there on the site for a year. Pray for her to continue to be prepared and equipped for this challenge.

  • Pray for the needs above for us.

  • Pray for the Lord to continually give us the chance daily to share the Gospel with someone, and to send us the hurting to minister to.
