MALAWI ORPHANAGE NEWS

• New pictures have been added on this page in a smaller size and format for ease of loading.

• Click the link below for a new set of pictures of the construction progress. It has been 1 year since the foundation of the building has been started. Click here to see the pictures of the progress on the Malawi Orphanage project.

• As of June 10, 2008, much of the plumbing is connected for the 4 house parent suites inside the orphanage, also most of the electrical, wall plastering, ceilings and glass in those rooms are nearing completion.  The drains are nearing completion on three sides of the building. The septic tank and soak away (drain field) are nearing completion. The inside of the fence has been plastered. The foundation for the water tower has been dug and the tower will be started soon. One gazebo is complete and the other nearing completion. What a blessing to see what the hand of the Lord is doing in Malawi. • June 12 Randy McEwen will be going back to relieve Michael Dant and be staying throughout the summer. He will be completing the project (as the Lord provides the funds) and getting things ready for the team from California coming in June.

• Around June 23rd a team from California with our sister Maribeth will be coming to Malawi to help set up a Montessori school at the orphanage. Randy & Julie McEwen had the privilege of seeing one of these schools up close in California in February and was very impressed. The team coming with Maribeth is crammed full of amazing godly women that will setting up the school and training indigenous teachers. Pray for them as the Lord finalizes their plans and the team that He wants to go.
